The Italian New Wave: Club To Club Alfa Romeo MiTo

By Beatport News Editors

Beatport is proud to be taking part in Italy’s Club To Club Alfa Romeo MiTo festival, taking place November 3 – 6 in Turin.

On Friday, November 4, at Turin’s Hiroshima Mon Amour, Beatport will sponsor a special Hyperdub showcase featuring the finest in underground bass music. Label head Kode 9 kicks off the night with a three-hour DJ set, followed by live sets from Hyperdub artists Hype Williams, Martyn, and Cooly G; the resident DJs from Italy’s bass-music club night SRSLY will close out the evening.

The 11th edition of Club To Club offers an ambitious cross-section of left-field club music, with a special focus on emerging sounds and underground tendencies. Other highlights on the bill include Kuedo, Apparat Band, Stroboscopic Artefacts founder Lucy, Glasgow’s Jackmaster, Egyptrixx, Ben Klock, Theo Parrish, Planningtorock, Lone, Untold, Deniz Kurtel, dOP, and, in the grand finale, a mega-lineup including Modeselektor, Jeff Mills, Marcel Dettmann, Alva Noto, Byetone, Caribou (DJ), Zomby, Pantha du Prince, Pearson Sound, Sandwell District, and Savana Potente.

No wonder Resident Advisor named Club To Club as their #1 festival choice for November—for the third year in a row.

In October, meanwhile, the Viva Club To Club series will present a series of smaller-scale events across Italy. On October 20, they present Holy Other, Space Dimension Controller and Kyle Hall in Milan. On October 21, Italian DJ Giorgio Valletta and Italo-disco DJ/producer Bottin both play a Torino event co-sponsored by the International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex Association. And On October 22, Jeff Mills and Giorgio Gigli play a Rome event co-hosted by Club To Club and Brancaleone.
