Berlin’s Club Transmediale festival is now in full swing, and Beatport is proud to announce our collaboration with the festival in the form of a special Ustream broadcast this Friday evening featuring a live performance from Ital (100% Silk) and a DJ set from Anstam (50 Weapons). Tune in Friday, February 3 at 22:00 GMT to catch both artists on Beatport’s Ustream channel.
Ital (aka Daniel Martin-McCormick of Mi Ami and Sex Worker) has been receiving growing attention for his left-field, tripped-out house music. So far he’s been most closely affiliated with the Not Not Fun sublabel 100% Silk, and in March, he’ll release his full-length debut on Planet Mu.
Anstam slunk upon the scene in 2009 with a trio of experimental dubstep EPs for his own ANSTAM label; last year, he hooked up with Modeselektor’s 50 Weapons imprint, releasing his debut LP in October.
Today’s schedule is full of incredible events, including a panel discussion on the work of Conrad Schnitzler, with Thomas Fehlmann, Wolfgang Seidel and Jens Strüver moderated by American journalist Geeta Dayal; a Raster-Noton/Time 2 Express program at Berghain, featuring Kyoka, Mark Fell, Kangding Ray, Byetone, and Sendai (Peter van Hoesen and Yves de Mey); and a special edition of the CDR masterclass featuring Morphosis and Pole.
