Watch a short documentary on Berlin techno innovator Ben Klock

By Ken Taylor

If you’ve ever made a techno pilgrimage to Berlin, you’ll know that cameras aren’t the most welcome devices in clubs. But somehow, somebody somewhere made an exception for the crew that filmed this great mini-documentary on Berghain resident and Ostgut Ton stalwart Ben Klock.

Throughout these nine minutes, Klock discusses his early influences (Josh Wink, Green Velvet, Jeff Mills) and what would come later when he took up the torch for the new sound of Berlin, forming a relationship with Marcel Dettmann, kicking off Ostgut Ton, and starting his own Klockworks label.
