Recently described by London’s jozif as a “mental case” when it comes to DJing, James Zabiela had one busy summer season at Space Ibiza. Now he presents us with a rare Beatport DJ chart, which highlights some of the hottest tracks that he’s dropped during the last few months. Originally known for his antics with progressive house, Zabiela now showcases a more eclectic selection of tunes, and this new chart touches on a wide cross-section of material, ranging from Shed’s heavy-hitting “Day After” to his own remix of Hot Chip’s “How Do You Do?”
“The music in this chart shows diversity of what I play at We Love Space on Sundays in Ibiza,” Zabiela told us. “And it’s a good a representation of the music I love.”
Also featured in the chart are some of this year’s biggest hits including Groove Armada’s massive remix of Alex Jones’ “Higher Level” on Hypercolour and Mark Henning’s big-room return, “Trojan.”
Zabiela is well known for crafting immense, energetic, and diverse sets that are tailor-made for his audience, and, fittingly, this is a wonderful summary of one of the scene’s best DJs.
