UK rag The Guardian takes a look at the plight of female DJs, who are slowly gaining traction in the electronic music world even while “the decks still seem to be stacked against them.”

- Citing BBC Radio jack Annie Mac and LuckyMe affiliate Éclair Fifi—who will take over Jackmaster’s spot on the BBC’s In New DJs We Trust radio show—as recent success stories, the Guardian’s Kate Hutchinson examines what is holding back the rise of more female mixmasters in electronic music. - With Armand Van Helden and A-Trak’s Duck Sauce album on its way soon, the pair premiered the first cut from the forthcoming effort on Zane Lowe’s Radio 1 program, where Lowe deemed it “the hottest record in the world” for the day. Give Duck Sauce’s fun-loving “It’s You” a spin below.

- Laidback Luke, Dimitri Vegas, and Like Mike have come together on “More,” a buzzing anthem that has had its share of spins throughout festivals this year but will finally see a release on July 1 via Mixmash Records. A preview snippet of the slippery collaborative tune can be heard below.

- Ever want to go record shopping with pioneering techno producer/DJ Carl Craig? Of course you have, and now you can—sort of—thanks to FACT TV, who followed the Detroit legend around London’s Phonica shop for a brief chat about the state of modern DJing and the art of buying records in old-school Detroit and new-school everywhere.

- Last month, Jamie XX (one-third of bummer-pop outfit The XX) laid down an impressive DJ set as part of the Berlin edition of the Night + Day festival series—events which the XX are helping curate. Red Bull Music Academy was in attendance and able to capture the man’s adventurous, melodically rich 30-minute set as a hi-quality audio recording. (full story)
