Early last year, TJR had a huge hit on his hands with “Funky Vodka,” a big-room banger on Chris Lake’s Rising Music that put him center stage on LA’s DJ circuit and took Beatport’s top chart spot. Now he’s back with “What’s Up Suckaz,” another electro-house jam that’s already climbing the Beatport 100 steadily. As he preps for a big hometown gig at HARD Summer in early August, we tapped the up-and-comer to see what to expect when he takes the decks.

This is my newest single, and it follows a similar vibe to “Ode to Oi.” It’s been doing great at my shows and extra fun to drop acapellas over it live to keep things fresh.

Joel is one of my favorite producers at the moment and this tune is a great example. I play it in every set. Hits hard and it’s got the head-bop bounce.

Nom’s build-ups are always so mental and this track pounds when it drops. A total monster.

One of those songs where the next track you drop after sounds small and wimpy. Super-fun to play out.

Summertime funk. You’re gonna snap your neck grooving to this.
