Denver jock Ivy will be coming to the Beatport office tomorrow, Friday, October 25, for a Beatport Live stream. A cofounder of Mile High City party Easy Killer, Ivy has been key in creating a unique environment that allows slower-tempo house and disco to be played all night long in the region. His own productions follow a similar path, as he crafts synth-heavy, disco-tinged trips as one half of Stuck At Sea, releasing on Gazeebo International, Hotbox Music, and Audio Parallax.
Luke The Knife and The Mash-Up King will be joining the Beatport Live ranks this Friday, October 18. After years of playing in bands, Colorado’s own Luke Miller decided that modern electronic music needed its soul and funk brought back. Cue the emergence of Luke the Knife, who, by incorporating live instruments and session musicians into his DJ sets, brings a very human feel to his electro-house-tinged sets. Be sure not to miss this performance from our Denver office tomorrow.
Beatport Live is excited to present Brodinski and Louisahhh!!! this coming Friday, from Berlin. Bromance is in the air as label head Brodinski and label regular Louisahhh!!! join forces to show us what they’re made of. Brodinski started making waves in 2007 when his track “Bad Runner” gained attention on the web before being released on Mental Groove to high public and critical acclaim. Since then he’s been carving out his own special groove of electro-tinged techno on top labels such as Turbo and Southern Fried. He’s no slouch behind the decks either, so watch out for his mixing skills.
