We are extremely excited to announce that the one and only Roman Flügel will be gracing the Berlin decks on May 24 for Beatport Live. Flügel is a true icon in electronic music, releasing under many aliases in many different genres. From the banging electro of Alter Ego’s “Rocker” to the subtlest deep house of “Song With Blue,” he has constantly been praised for his flawless production and style.
Tomorrow, May 17, Beatport Live is happy to present Presha, who’ll be DJing from our Berlin offices. One look at the Samurai Music/Samurai Red Seal discographies and you know label head Presha knows his drum & bass. From ASC’s incredible experiments to the classic stylings of Calibre, the labels have been a go-to for quality within the scene since their inception. It’s no surprise then that Presha is a fantastic DJ himself, having toured across New Zealand, Australia, Europe, Japan, and America, wowing crowds as he goes.
The Hood Internet will be coming to Beatport Live this Friday, May 17. Aaron Brink and Steve Reidell decided in 2007 that it was time for some great mash-ups, and boy did they deliver. Uploading them straight to their own Hood Internet blog, they received an overwhelming response to the tracks and since then the guys have only been getting better. Their genre-defying style is what sets them apart the most. Never afraid to throw a curveball that you wouldn’t expect to work, they love to surprise the crowd.
We’re super-excited to announce a special Tuesday stream from the one and only Miss Kittin on Beatport Live. A true legend in the game, Miss Kittin has been wowing crowds since the late ’90s with her eclectic style and flair. Her discography reads like a who’s-who of labels and collaborators—from Felix Da Housecat to Steve Bug and from Mental Groove Records to Terminal M, she knows what’s up.
We’re excited to announce that Anja Schneider will be gracing the decks at the Beatport Live Berlin office on April 26. A true staple in the deep/tech house scene, Schneider has been holding her own since the early days as a radio producer at KissFM to co-founding the Mobilee label. Her DJ sets are smooth, exciting, and considered; her productions always on-point.
We’re happy to welcome Jonas Kopp to the Berlin Beatport Live stream on Friday, April 19. One look at some of Kopp’s related labels (Traut Muzik, Curle, Stroboscopic Artefacts, Krill Music, Ostgut Ton, Deeply Rooted House) and you get an idea of what the man is all about. Rough-and-ready house and techno is the name of the game—and a game the Argentinian is good at winning. After his first full-length release at the age of 19, Kopp has been causing quite a stir in the scene, not just with his productions but with his eclectic DJing, too.
After leaving her hometown of Gera, Germany, Dana Ruh headed to Berlin and has since been on a musical journey. Combining house and techno into her influences, she’s steadily makde a name for herself as a fine selector and producer. Founding her own label, Brouqade, in 2007, she further cemented her name in the scene, releasing top quality tech-house productions.
