With over 30 mixes getting a position in our Mixes Top 10, Deep Space House have recently been making a name for themselves as being consistently fantastic DJs. The dynamic duo of Matt van Ax and Mark Space have a deep understanding of each other’s tracks and style, and this culminates in a well-thought-out and exciting mix each time, seamlessly blended together the many various shapes and forms of house music.
Beatport Live is extremely excited to announce that Eli Verveine will be joining us in the Berlin office tomorrow, September 20, for a live stream. Verveine has gained popularity in the underground scene over the last few years due to her amazing DJing skills and impeccable music taste. Shifting seamlessly from deep house to the dubbier side of techno with a few surprises thrown in for good measure, her sets are always a fantastic journey. It’s hardly surprising, though—she’s been DJing for the best part of her adult life. More recently, she’s turned her hand to production with her studio partner and long-time DJ friend Oscar Schubaq.
The one and only David Alvarado will be coming to the Berlin office tomorrow, Wednesday, September 18, for a Beatport Live stream. Making his name in the late ’90s and early ’00s as a deep-house master, LA-based Alvarado released many critically acclaimed EPs and albums that are now considered classics among house heads. His tracks found homes on the best of the best labels including Peacefrog, NRK, and Strictly Rhythm to name a few.
Beatport Live is proud to announce that Detroit’s own Kris Wadsworth will be playing from our Berlin office this Friday, September 13. The Uranus label owner has a long history of supplying some of the best tracks and mixes out there, from his early days on labels like Hypercolour and NRK to his later works on Get Physical.
We’re happy to announce that Destructo (aka Gary Richards) will be dropping by our Denver office tomorrow, Friday, September 13, for a Beatport Live stream. Cutting his teeth in the early ’90s LA underground scene, Richards went on to have a successful career in A&R for electronic music at Def American Recordings, bringing to light such acts as Basement Jaxx and Lords of Acid. His own productions and DJing, however, have always been his passion and lucky for us we’ll be seeing what he can do tomorrow.
Beatport Live is excited to present Ruede Hagelstein straight from Berlin club Watergate tomorrow, Friday, August 30. One of Watergate’s longest-standing residents, Berliner Hagelstein has kept his finger on the pulse of the city’s beating heart of house and techno for nearly a decade. His primarily tech-house tracks have found homes on top labels such as Upon. You, Souvenir, Keinemusik, and, naturally, Watergate’s in-house label.
Beltek will join Beatport Live this Friday for an exciting live stream. One of dance music’s newest heroes, Beltek has been on a steady rise to the top since he won Pete Tong’s attention with “Copacabana.” His pristine production skills got him noticed and soon he was releasing on Dim Mak, Ministry of Sound, Toolroom, Armada, and many more top labels.
