We love being able to bring dance music’s best new (and classic) tracks every day into the comfort of wherever it is that you keep your computer, but the real joy for us is still hearing these tracks in the live setting, when DJs whip up a serious journey of tunes each weekend at our favorite clubs around the world—because, as you know, big, bad, and beautiful soundsystems are near and dear to our hearts. Today, Rolling Stone unveiled what their panel of voters (which includes our own Executive Creative Director, Clark Warner) consider to be the 10 best clubs in the US, so naturally we were riveted to see how our favorites slotted into the list.
Here at Beatport, we consider ourselves audiophiles: We simply love sound. From a fresh set of headphones to booming dancefloors, we are constantly surrounded by high-end audio setups that make our ears swoon. So with this passion for top-quality sound in mind, we hunted high and low across this great land to assemble a list of the 10 best club soundsystems in the US. Read on to see if we hit your favorite eyeball-rattling spot.
By now you’ve surely heard the news: change is in the air at Beatport. Specifically, we’re rolling out a brand-new version of the site: new features, new design, and a new platform that’s going to make Beatport faster, smarter, and more flexible.
Not long ago, we launched a Private Beta, and we’ve been hard at work addressing feedback and folding suggestions into the site. This week, we’re opening up the Beta and giving our community the first shot at getting a piece of the action.
We’re releasing codes every hour on beta.beatport.com. Check back often, as they go quick! Plus, like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter for more chances to get in to the #newbeatport. We’re also giving away invites each day to people who purchase on the site. We’ll email random users each day with access codes.
So what’s new? Read on to find out.
