Producing only sporadically throughout her understated career, Switzerland’s Eli Verveine has built a respected reputation as a DJ who exists somewhere between house and techno, piecing together exquisite, immersive sets that build tension in measured steps and then release it with elated electronic impulses. With a few more productions in the works and plenty of dates already set, 2013 appears likely to be another fruitful year for Verveine, one in which the Swiss artist will continue honing her craft while quietly taking her place as a leading figure within the world of sophisticated dance music.

Sum up 2012 in three words.

Music. Love. Tardis.

There’s been a lot written about you lately… tell us one thing about yourself that the press has missed.

My first gig on a big soundsystem was in a squatted house.

Have a favorite track from last year?

Besides you, who else should we keep an eye on this year?

Oscar Schubaq.

What’s next for you, release-wise and what should we look forward to in the future?

I’m looking forward to our next releases on Tardis Records, so keep your eyes and ears open.
