Folks, there’s been a lot of chatter about this Friday’s Mayan predictions. Whatever those prophecies may hold, we know one thing—we might as well go out with a party, right? So, in that spirit, we asked a bunch of DJs to tell us what they’d play for their last song on earth. Here’s what they came up with:

Splash – “Babylon”

Afrika Bambaataa
Will play the whole entire Marvin Gaye album of What’s Going On ’cause humans did not heed to what he was saying on that whole album. Then I play “I Want To Take You Higher” by Sly and The Family Stone, ’cause your ass will be out of here and the frequency of the musical chords of that recording will help get you ready to go. But all that will change if humans put love back in the atmosphere and send through their heart chakras to the universe(s). Amen Ra.

Baby G (Dance Disorder)

Baby Prince
Larry Heard – “The Sun Can’t Compare”

Baggi Begovic
If there really was the end of it all, I’ll definitely play The Doors’ “The End.” It’s one of my favorite tracks, and I think it’s good to close life with this huge classic!

[bpaudio id=”731274″]

Frank Sinatra – “My Way”

Carlo Lio
If the world were to end on 12/21, my ’80s-infused ass would probably rock the Pet Shop Boys’ “Alright.” Def gotta go out feeling good!

Chris Lake
Lifelike & Kris Menace – “Discopolis.” It’s epic and emotional. The perfect soundtrack to any world ending!
[bpaudio id=”207080″]

Coming Soon
Let’s Be Friends – “Allow It”

Dan from Pig&Dan
Would have to be “The End” by the Doors

Dave Audé
John Lennon “Imagine” (Dave Audé Remix)

David Guetta
Michael Jackson – “Don’t Stop Til You Get Enough.” The world isn’t ending! Every day is a new beginning. So raise your glass, raise your arms, and Don’t Stop Til You Get Enough. Happy New Year!

David Morales
My final song would be “Lovely Day” by Bill Withers.

[bpaudio id=”3921464″]

Rhythm and Sound – “King In My Empire”… says it all.
[bpaudio id=”35904”]

Either Roy Ayers’ “Everybody Loves the Sunshine” or Usher’s “Climax.”

DJ Harvey
“When You Wish Upon a Star” by Jiminy Cricket

DJ Rap
I would play U2’s “Beautiful Day”

Doctor P
Paul Simon – “Kathy’s Song”

Our choice: Joe Smooth – “Promised Land”

Drop the Lime
I’d play Aviici’s “Levels” backwards.

Drumsound & Bassline Smith
Jeff Wayne – “The Eve of the World” (from War Of The Worlds)

Eric Duncan (aka Dr. Dunks)
The longest James Brown song I could find:

[bpaudio id=”3817816″]

I’d throw on Konflict’s “Messiah (Noisia Remix)” and go on a rampage slaying zombies until the meteor takes us all out.
[bpaudio id=”911294″]

Flux Pavilion
Sigur Ros – “Festival”

The Glitch Mob
Boreta: The Doors – “The End”
edIT: Boys II Men – “It’s So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday”
Ooah: Radiohead – “Idioteque”

Guy Gerber
My song will have to be Light Asylum – “A Certain Person.”
[bpaudio id=”3434756″]

I’d create and play a personal tech-house remix of “The End” by The Doors. In fact, I might just do that.

It’s not EDM by any means… but I would play “Moonlight Sonata” by Beethoven (The OG).

Inica Pop
We would probably play something from a classical piece like Mozart or maybe Beethoven “Piano Sonata No. 14” (in C sharp Minor OP 27_2 ). It just feels like a lovely song to say goodbye with.

Interactive Noise
Rob Dougan – “Clubbed to Death”

Jens Lissat
I would play this classic:

Joe Nice
Prince’s “1999” seems like the only choice. Think about what he’s saying. He wrote that tune thinking everything was gonna be over in 2000. It’s now 2012 and here we go again. 1999 was not only the end, literally—in terms of the lyrics… it’s the end metaphorically. It’s a milestone. Like an odometer in your car. It’s time. It never stops. It waits for no one. “1999” would be it.

John Acquaviva
“Blackout” by Lil Louis, pitched at +8

Julius Papp
If December 21 was the end of the world and I was playing a final song, the band The Police comes to mind. If the end was indeed on the horizon, staying positive would be my choice and playing this song would accommodate that: “When the world is running down/You make the best of what’s still around.”

Radiohead – “Pyramid Song”

Kush Arora
As cheesy as it sounds and as off-kilter as it would be, I would play Ministry’s “Everyday is Halloween” to get everybody nice and ready for the hell that they will face when the world is over.

Mihalis Safras
I would climb the closest mountain, put my headphones on, and play Depeche Mode’s “Personal Jesus”…ha!

Martin Solveig
If 12/21 is really the end, Bjork “All Is Full Of Love” is all I want to hear.

I would play Led Zeppelin’s “Kashmir.”

Matrix & Futurebound
The Doors – “Riders on the Storm”

Mattix & Futile
[bpaudio id=”375585″]

Depeche Mode – “Blasphemous Rumours” “I don’t want to start any blasphemous rumours/But I think that God’s got a sick sense of humor/And when I die I expect to find Him laughing”
[bpaudio id=”1400111″]

Mike Simonetti
I would play “Stairway to Heaven.”

Mirror People
For sure, my choice is “I Feel Love” by Donna Summer. Sonically it’s awesome, produced by my favorite—Giorgio. It’s an anthem! And after all, this is all about “love,” isn’t it?!

Guns N Roses – “Paradise City”
I could have a sing-along and go down in a blaze of glory!

Absolute classic! Never got tired of this one and never will! Thank you very much, good night!
[bpaudio id=”3387881″]

Nick Thayer
Chris Cornell – “Preaching the End of the World”
I’ve always loved this Chris Cornell album, and if the world really was ending, I’d wanna play something appropriate. And this really hits the nail on the head!

Noah Pred
Wow! this is a tough one… for now, I’ll say Deepchild – “Then We Dissolved.”
[bpaudio id=”3768094″]

Phil Kieran
Had a bit of an experience while listening to KLF Chill Out years ago while on a hammock… “Albatross” by Fleetwood Mac, definitely one to sign out to.

Phil South
REM – that really annoying one. No wait, that’s all of them… The Hives’ “Hate To Say I Told You So.” But seriously, something really long, like Pink Floyd “Echoes.” Yep, I’m going with that. I used to put it on the jukebox in the pub to get maximum bang for my buck. Same would apply here and I think it would sound pretty good as the sun set for the last time ever. As if!

Raw Theory
Rolling Stones – “Sympathy For the Devil”

Reid Speed
REM – “It’s the End of the World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine).” OBVIOUSLY! If that was not available, probably “Renegade Snares.”
[bpaudio id=”769220″]

Robbie Rivera
I would play my favorite track of mine, “Funkatron”

Alf Clausen – “The Land Of Chocolate”

Killbot “I’ll Fuck It” or Sluggo “Engineered to Destroy”
[bpaudio id=”3780612″]

REM – “It’s the End of the World As We Know It”

Stacey Pullen
“Blackout” by Lil Louis. A song that was ahead of its time and a perfect song for the present.

Sydney Blu
I would play my favorite dance song, “Turn Me On,” by Danny Tenaglia. One of the main songs that got me into DJing… still love it to this day.
[bpaudio id=”917996″]

Tommy Trash
I’d play The Doors’ “The End” mashed up with my song “The End.” The mash-up title would be cleverly named “The End.” The end.
[bpaudio id=”1852223″]

My fave track ever from my fave artist.
[bpaudio id=”123295″]

Alex Metric ft. Charli XCX – “End Of The World (Xilent Remix)”

“Invocation of the Continual One” by Morbid Angel
