Beatport is excited to announce the appointment of Terry Weerasinghe as Vice President of Music Services. Weerasinghe comes to our Berlin office from his post as head of marketing at Native Instruments’ DJ division, where he repositioned the Traktor brand through industry-leading use of integrated social-media strategies, online marketing campaigns, and launching the critically acclaimed Traktor DJ iOS app. He previously helped establish Pioneer’s CDJ and DJM brands, and held a senior marketing position at Panasonic.

“Terry is one of the best-connected and well-respected figures in dance music, so we’re obviously ecstatic to welcome him to the Beatport family,” said Beatport CEO Matthew Adell. “He is a strong addition to our executive team, and being based in Berlin illustrates our commitment to our partners both in Europe and around the world.”

Weerasinghe will oversee all label-supplier relations and global supply-chain-operation responsibilities. Additionally, he is charged with creating new relationships and strengthening existing ties with key label suppliers, distributors, artists, producers, and other partners.
