It’s that awesome time again when we get to announce the newest batch of winners on Beatport Play. First up, in Stacey Pullen’s/Black Odyssey’s “Sweat” contest, is winner Loquace (aka Loic Castagnet), who scored a Point Blank Pro Producer Course, a Sounds To Sample Elements library, and an official release on Pullen’s own Blackflag Recordings label. Check out his winning submission here.

One of the more interesting Play offerings of late has been the collaboration between British techno experimenter Max Cooper and Canadian art rockers Braids, who put up their track “Pleasures” to be remixed by the Play community. Taking top honors in that competition is Copenhagen’s Samuel Eyes for this remix, and he nabs an official release of his remix on Fields, plus a copy of Native Instruments’ Komplete 8, Liine’s Lemur for iPad app, Cytomic’s The Glue and The Drop plugins, and the Sounds To Sample Elements library.

You may have seen Toronto’s Art Department on News this morning, but that’s not all that’s kept them busy in Beatport’s world lately. They also crowned Jon Charnis, Lovecraft (aka Mike Fisher), and Prab K the collaborative victors of their “Robot Heart” contest, for this entry, and they will receive a $1000 Plugin Alliance voucher, the Sounds To Sample Elements soundpack for their efforts, plus their remix will be officially released on No.19 Records.

Bombs Away’s “Party Bass” contest had quite a prize lot, including a copy of iZotope Trash, a $100 voucher for StyleFlip, the Sounds To Sample Elements library, and an official release on Central Station Records. So who took first place? That’d be Australian producer Variable for this remix.

Lastly, in Lazy Rich & Hirshee’s “Damage Control” competition, San Diego’s No Hesitation took the top prize for this submission, which netted him a one-year Label Engine subscription, a pair of Label Engine V-Moda headphones, an autographed t-shirt, placement on Big Fish Recordings’ promo list, an actual release on the label, and the Sounds To Sample Elements pack.

Head on over to Beatport Play to see what we’ve got in store for the next round of contests.
