There’s been a lot of talk lately about the collaborators that are said to appear on the new Daft Punk LP, and today we’ve got an update of two new names to add to that list.
FACT reports that we can add Strokes singer Julian Casablancas, garage god Todd Edwards, and France’s DJ Falcon to the growing cadre of contributors to Random Access Memories. So that’s pretty sweet. But one of the central figures on the album, Chic guitarist and producer Nile Rodgers, is the subject of a BBC-produced documentary called The Hitmaker, and you can watch it all right here. Throughout the 60 minutes of footage and interviews, Rodgers talks candidly about the formation of Chic, his work with countless disco and pop artists over the decades, and how his recent battle with prostate cancer hasn’t stopped him from performing and working.
