This weekend, the venerable Rinse FM, the once-pirate radio station that’s grown to full-blown legal status and has come to define London’s cutting-edge dance music scene, celebrates its 18th birthday with a huge showdown at the Warehouse Project and the O2 Brixton Academy. And to ring in that birthday in style, they’ve booked a lineup a mile long, with folks like Katy B, Skream, Diplo, Boy Better Know, P Money, Zinc, Kode 9, Plastician, Alunageorge, Oneman, Artwork, Pearson Sound, Jackmaster, Ben UFO, Roska… you see where this is going.

But what the rest of the world, which can’t all descend on London this weekend, is excited about is this following collection of short documentaries featuring some of the station’s integral players, including Roska, Geeneus, Slimzee, and Marcus Nasty, discussing its progression, from playing cat-and-mouse with the cops to becoming a fully licensed terrestrial and online station.
