As to be expected each month, a new round of amazing Beatport Play contests is now underway—and now’s your chance to score some major prizes and, possibly, a taste of true producer fame.
First up is our Producer Challenge, which, this month, favors those among you who are into acid house. So crank up the 303s and get cracking on a new jam to be judged by Mr. C, and you could win a Lexicon PCM Total Bundle, the D16 Total Bundle of plugins, the D16 Classic Boxes Collection, a D16 Silverline Collection, and the Sounds To Sample Elements library.
In LA funk god Dam-Funk’s “I Don’t Wanna Be a Star!” contest, entrants will have a shot at winning not only Native Instruments’ Maschine Mikro professional music production tool, the Stones Throw/Bleep Labs Dam Drum 2, and a Sounds To Sample Elements collection, but also a chance to have their remix of Dam released on Stones Throw.
Next up, instrumental beat king Eliot Lipp offers up the awesome Livid Instruments OhmRGB Slim Eliot Lipp Edition interactive MIDI instrument, Sounds To Sample Elements sound pack and a release on Pretty Lights Music in his “Mountain” remix contest.
For Kris Menace’s “Trusting Me feat. Robert Owens” competition, contestants can nab a release on Compuphonic release, the Cubase 7 digital audio workstation, an Akai MPK Mini controller, and the Sounds To Sample Elements library.
And lastly, get in on the action in Son of Kick’s “EOW” contest and you might be the next signee to Smog Records while also taking home a Zoom H4n Audio Recorder and a Sounds To Sample Elements sound pack.
So don’t miss out! Get your entries uploaded to Play by December 31st for the last contest of 2012.
